History
Timiron is a young company. The people running it are not new to this work. Every era below is a facility our team operated, commissioned, or built — the track record our flagship terminal stands on today.
2013 — the Southeast chemical-transfer era
Our story starts in the Southeast, where the team operated a network of 13 chemical-transfer terminal sites. Railcar-to-truck transfer of industrial chemicals is unforgiving work — hydrochloric acid does not tolerate sloppy hose discipline — and it taught the habits that still define how we run a terminal: procedure first, containment always, and no load moves until the paperwork matches the product.
2014 — crude truck-to-rail at Fruita, Colorado
The team commissioned crude truck-to-rail loading at Fruita, Colorado — taking a greenfield site from bare ground to loaded unit trains. This was the first proof that we could stand up a truck-to-rail operation from scratch: build the loading procedures, train the crews, and get product rolling on schedule.
2015–2016 — the Ohio River and ground-up construction
At Belpre, Ohio, the team built barge docks on the Ohio River and led ground-up terminal construction — civil work, dock infrastructure, transfer systems, and commissioning. Belpre added the marine leg to our playbook and proved we could deliver construction, not just operations.
2017 — rail, truck, and marine in one operation
By 2017 the team was running integrated rail-truck-marine transfer — moving product across all three modes at a single operation. Coordinating railcar spots, truck windows, and barge schedules against river conditions is the hardest logistics problem in transloading, and it became a core competency.
Nationwide network operations
Between eras and alongside them, the team operated bulk transload terminals across the country — Allenport, Belpre, Fruita, Casper, Yorktown, San Antonio, Bossier City, and dozens more. Crude, condensate, frac sand, ethanol, and multi-commodity bulk, by rail, truck, barge, and dock. The full facility record is below.
2025 — our own terminal at Cadiz, Ohio
Today we apply all of it to a terminal we own the outcome of: our crude truck-to-rail terminal at Cadiz, Ohio. The team commissioned two loading systems there across 2025–2026 and operates the facility today — the same discipline from two decades of running other people's terminals, now pointed at our own.

Rail relationships
Two decades of loading unit trains and manifest traffic built working relationships with every Class 1 railroad in North America — Union Pacific, BNSF, CSX, Norfolk Southern, CN, and CPKC — and the majority of North American shortlines. When we commit cars to a schedule, the railroad already knows how we operate.
Terminals
Every facility on this page was operated by our leadership team across two decades of terminal careers — including construction and commissioning at select sites. Timiron runs one of them today — the rest are the track record it stands on.
