Find the concrete volume for round columns or Sonotube piers from the tube diameter, height, and quantity.
How it works
radius_ft = (diameter_in / 12) / 2. cubicFeet = pi x radius_ft^2 x height_ft x qty x (1 + waste% / 100). cubicYards = cubicFeet / 27.
Worked example
Three 12 in tubes, 4 ft tall: pi x 0.5^2 x 4 x 3 = 9.42 ft3 = 0.349 yd3.
When to use it
- Diameter is the tube's inside diameter — the finished column diameter.
- Fill in one continuous pour where possible to avoid cold joints in the pier.
